Are there any smiths who still do blu-jobs?

    I have a Colt 1903 that I'd like restored to as close to factory finish as possible. Thanks!

    Tom Novotny in Sandy was doing it, but I haven't seen him in 6yrs. or so. He's an older guy, hope he's still at it.

    Lee at Rich's Gun Shop In Donald south of Portland does nice work. Restored Doc's old Colt Police Positve to 1940s show room new. It is a nice job!

    1903's were fire blued correct? Finding a smith doing that may be a challenge

    +1 on Rich's.
    LGS showed me a nasty Colt Woodsman a customer had brought in to see if it could be salvaged.
    Colt refused to work on it, so he had Rich's do the job.
    When it came back, the thing looked new.
    They did very careful polishing as the rollmarks were still sharp, not all buffed out as is often seen.
