Are eotechs reliable?

I have had an 553 that has been on the same AR for about 12 years and had zero problems. Farm gun so it has seen some time in a pick-up, swather, tractor and combine.
 
I had a 511 and a xps-2 both fail on me. Plus battery life sucks on them. I sent them both back on the recall and switch to Aimpoint and Trijicon. My micro t1 still running on the battery that was shipped with it 4 + years ago.
