Now that the easy ones out of the way......
2nd is a bit of a ridiculous/ridiculously cool fire breathing bundle of awesomeness.
I built this for myself, and as is so often is the case... I got smacked with some life and have to sell some stuff to continue existing.
I haven't had this one long enough to become too attached so it goes first. The next one or two are going to hurt so I'm gunna wait hope I don't have to sell.
I have gone on record saying 10.5" is as short as you should ever go for reliable 5.56 operation, 11.5" and up being ideal...and I stand by that.
That said....
.... this is most definitely worth having in the safe! These are a blast(pun intended) to shoot! It is LOUD! And it may take some tuning to make shoot reliably. H1 or H2 Buffer recommended.
Use the right tool for the job.
Is it a good go to war, life/liberty, or home defense option... No.
Handy dandy truck gun, Range Toy, Mini Block1/Mk18 mod0 Clone project? YES!!! Perfect!!!
This is not a cheap upper. It's lovingly crafted from all new, made in USA parts of the highest quality.
As far as 7" 5.56 barrels go there is none better. Chrome lined barrels this short especially with factory FSBs are all but nonexistent.
In fact these were discontinued just before 7.5" AR pistols started gaining popularity. all the cool stuff always gets discoed
At least you can rest assured you'll have a 1 of a kind though.( maybe 1 of 2..may build another for myself I have one barrel left)
These are actually notoriously reliable barrels for the size. I'm an absolute barrel snob, and I own one.

The DPMS Kitty Kat AR-15 Pistol Barrel is fully chambered and ready to install on an upper receiver. The 7" Heavy Contour Barrel is machined from Mil-Spec 4150 Chrome Moly Vanadium Steel and is Chrome Lined for durability and corrosion resistance. It features versatile 1 in 9" Twist Rifling that is ideal for use with light- to medium-weight projectiles up to about 69 grains, and its true 5.56x45mm NATO chamber ensures reliable feeding with either commercial or surplus ammunition. The barrel is threaded 1/2"-28 for adding any compatible muzzle device and includes a factory-installed forged front sight base, barrel extension and locator pin. Front sight post, detent and spring are NOT included.
