Good morning,

A single-stage trigger (which these are) is static and has no take-up or slack. When you press the trigger, there is only the break and the rifle will fire.

The mil-spec trigger (which these are) that is standard in most AR15 type rifles is technically a single-stage design despite the fact that the pull to the break is often as long as that of a two-stage. But mil-spec single stage (which these are) is still one movement to the break versus two distinct movements to the break in a two-stage trigger.

I didn't invent this terminology, so take with a few grains of salt.
