I derailed, or more accurately only slightly railed, for a Surefire light. I like the round old-school handguards.
With the handle gone, you can low-mount an optic without the handle adapter fal-de-ral.
In the end, the amazing configuration options are one of the many reasons the platform remains viable these many years.
