AR15 hunting in washington

It's not illegal.

Where you run into problems is the minimum .24 caliber requirement for all big game in WA state.

Only exception is cougar which can be hunted with 22 Cal centerfire.

300 blackout would be legal if your set on an ar15 for big game.

The AR is a platform not a caliber. Hopefully the no go list included calibers unless all full semi autos are banned.

thats just odd you can hunt a cougar with a 22cal but not a deer.

Yeah, i couldn't find anything to confirm this. hunted with my grendel last year and thought "bubblegum, did i miss something?" everything ive read says 24 or bigger.

I did, using a Tromix barrel and bolt for a foundation.

3x9x40 weaver that came with my savage 30-06. Seems to work just fine.

I was asking about Ospreys scope but to add ive always wanted to build a Grendel for hunting and would definetely put a 3x9 on that like yours, nice build.
Im working on a handload to predator hunt with my 223 AR but have an LPVO scope on it and im just used to a traditional duplex hunting crosshair and 100yd zero and am kinda looking for an excuse to upgrade.
