That was the very first magazine I ever shot with a binary trigger.... you only get better with it as you "tune into it".

I honestly don't recall... I don't think I touched the buffer assembly, just dropped in the trigger... but I could be wrong.

They are really really really fun when they work, when they breakdown and you need extra pieces and replacement parts, it is not fun, because it is just easier to buy a full replacement.

I originally used the Franklin spring but swapped it out for an SI flatwire AR spring. No issues firing either .223/556 or 22lr with the CMMG conversion.

No thanks. It is too easy for the trigger finger to out pace the brain's decision making process, most people should slow down not speed up rounds out of the barrel.

Had, sold.
Sold due to ammo consumption and not wanting to load that much for a semi-auto.

Cons: cadence is hard to get without a lot of practice.
Pro's: Government doesn't like them.

Anyone have one/use one? Curious about people's thoughts on them if they're worth it?

I have an echo sport installed in a S&w 15-22 22lr. Works great but have not tried the trigger in a 556 rifle yet due to ammo cost. It shoots at 600rpm so a mag dump lasts 3 seconds = lots of ammo. First trigger pull on echo sport is pretty heavy and release is light. Really excels at 2 shot bursts. My suggestion is don't think of it as a precision trigger but more of a 2 shot burst specialist or fun toy. I would also suggest not thinking of it as a full auto weapon as it's completely different feel. Lastly I would suggest not using it (or a legal full auto for that matter) for self defense purpose. The exception would be if u use for 2 shot bursts. 10 round burst in 22:

Haven't used one, but have seen articles in which the author found that they could outrun the gun and get a stoppage. That's not a serious thing in a range toy, but it could get you killed in real life gunfight. Anything that compromises reliability is anathema to a fighting gun. Like with bumpstocks, it requires a learned technique that you may or may not remember or have the fine motor control required in the stress of a life and death encounter.

It was the Fostech Echo that needed extra parts to run....a sear trip kit.....sorry my old brain

I can easily outrun the gun with the BFS in binary. It causes the hammer to follow the bolt, so you end up with a dead trigger and a loaded chamber. I don't think I have ever heard anyone claim this is a fighting tool, it's just a fun way to blow off steam/ammo/money. It also gets you to focus on cadence to get that smoooooth auto simulation.

Come to think of it though, with the CMMG .22LR conversion bolt in my AR I can't think of ever having that happen. My guess is the .22 conversion can cycle much faster than the normal AR bolt. I am not saying the .22 is more reliable (at all!), just that I can't remember having hammer follow be an issue with it installed.

Separate issue.

The only thing required to get the Fostech to function is the M16 profile BCG.
