So I built a nice 20" A2 setup and am now looking at ways to mount a scope.

I have a nice Nikon, but a straight carry handle mount is to high.

I was looking at one of the Z mounts that attaches to the handle and then drops down in front.

I was thinking I count mount the scope on the lower end of it and slide the scope back 1/3 over the handle, the eye relief seems like it would work.

Any thought? I've Googled to no end but can't see a similar setup.

Without a long eye relief scope that mount would be hard to make work.

A2's are tough to mount a conventional scope onto without it being stupid high and you end up "giraffe" necking it.

Sorry, I may or may not have been of help.

Other than eye relief, that mount does nothing for height because the ocular lense can't go any lower to the rail anyways.
The ARMS #2 EXT. is what I would use or get a cheap $20 Leatherwood although they are not as secure as the ARMS.

Every little bit helps

I can deal with the eyepiece 'resting' on the carry handle.

When I mount the rings to a rail atop the handle it raised the scope even higher... Probably no more than an inch, but that's a lot when its already so high

I'm getting one of the mounts and ill post my results
