We used to rattle can paint and use burlap / old BDU's made into strips...as camouflage.
It still bothers me a bit...knowing that I spray painted the walnut stock on more than a few M21 rifles....:eek:

If only you could have talked them into springing for some McMillan stocks, in the name of performance, of course, it could have eased your conscience. :D
 
Thanks. Gonna hold onto the Rogers when it comes. Been wanting to try one out for a while. You recommend a different fixed stock? Just want the simple M16 type but dunno what options I have. Different butt plates…
I like the UTG stock and have one on a M16A2 clone. If the screw is tight, there are some tricks to get it off. The mold seam, although normal, can be cleaned up. Some fill the cavity with spray foam. There are a lot worse A2 stocks out there.
