I have a flat top with front sight and 16" barrel. I use this for plinking.Really noting more than 100 yards. What type of scope would you recommend? Would it be advantageous to remove the front sight and replace it with a gas block?

I seen a burris 3x9 acog style at the show for 2 something. I recently got a fake aim point that works well on the flat top and the front sight post does not get in the way.
You can see a pic of it here. http://www.northwestfirearms.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49&page=58
I have yet to shoot it but several people say it works great for plinking and ranges out to 100 or so. its a 2.5x9 paid 130. Hopefully it works as well as some people have said it does
