Walmart banned the AR-15 a year or two ago. They replaced it with the much less dangerous Ruger mini-14, it has a wood stock so its harmless.
The mini-14 is a harmless, less than lethal rifle. I should know, I watched the A-Team. Might make a few cars flip into the air and make BA's van change wheels during hard cornering, but not lethal or accurate.

Hillary is Nixon reincarnated.

I was thinking more along the lines of that beatch, Jezebel. She was so evil that at her demise her carcass was devoured by stray dogs (total eastern culture insult), except for her skull (where evil resided), feet (where evil moved about), and the palms of her hands (where evil and murder were perpetrated).

Like Jezebel, Hillary's end will come suddenly and swiftly. Be patient, it'll happen.

We can laugh, but there is going to be a full court press to ban anything that looks like a military weapon. The emotions are still running very high, and the anti-gun community has claimed moral superiority.

As I wrote on a quite anti-gun forum:

"There are an estimated 347,000,000 guns in the US, and there are about 11,000 homicides committed by guns. Of these 11,000 homicides, about 250 are from all rifles combined, which includes an AR-15.

There is an estimated 253,000,000 passenger vehicles in the US, and there are about 10,000 people killed by drunk drivers each year.

Think about it this way - you are 40 times more likely to be killed this year by a drunk driver than by a rifle, including a nutjob or jihadist with an AR-15, AK-47, etc..

Maybe you should be thinking about banning cars instead of guns, since we have no guaranteed way of keeping a drunk from driving one.

The loss of any life is tragic, and those killed by drunk drivers are just as valuable as the lives killed by a gun."

There is not a snowball's chance in hell that I will change anybody's mind. We as a society are so heavily polarized few are able to see virtually issue pragmatically.

We need to fight like hell at every opportunity and not allow our rights to be taken away.

that's awesome, thanks for those stats. I am putting something together, can you give the sources for those?

It would interesting to see just how many AR15's are owned and used legally Vs. how many have been used in crimes.
I have no doubt that the law abiding owners and users of AR15's far outnumber the criminal use of this type of rifle.
Again I must ask: Why should a law abiding person be restricted or punished for the actions of others?

If AR15's or any other types of firearms are banned , I would be willing to bet that we would see mass non-compliance regarding the ban.
I'm also sure that criminals would be all set to turn in their guns , 'cause of a ban , they would hate to break a law while being a criminal.

I'm a law abiding citizen and pay my taxes. I am exempt from confiscation.
If they still insist I turn my guns in, no problem. I will fully comply but with the guns go the ammo and out of respect, I will empty the ammo out of the mags first, then they can steal my guns once it's unloaded and clear.

And no, I am not making any threats so let's be clear on that.

I already closed them out, but they are pretty easy to find, just google "How many cars (or guns) are in the United States", then "How many people are killed by drunk drivers (or guns) in the Unites States". One of the links for guns will break down how many were homicide vs suicide or accident and how many were rifles.

A possible future conversation,

"Well officer, It's like this...Last Friday, I was getting ready to voluntarily turn in all my now banned guns and ammo. So I put everything in the bed of my truck. Then I forgot they were there when my wife called and said I should meet her downtown for a late dinner. When I came out of the restaurant a couple hours later, they were all gone.
I wasn't worried and didn't think there was a need to report the theft anymore because the criminals that took those guns will be turning them in by the deadline tomorrow anyways...
...'cuz lucky for us, they're now illegal to have and the law requires everyone to turn them in."
