That said...
As I understand it, you can carry any pistol loaded in your vehicle as long as you have a CPL.

It might get tricky over 26" because it can now be called an "other" and you can then put a vertical grip on it.... if you carry in your car don't put a vertical for-grip on it.....
Also maybe put a Law Folder on it, to be safe(and super cool)
Remember it's as measured from the end of the barrel, not the muzzle device, and the end of the Reciever Extention, not the brace... recent legislation also says that you measure in the folded position if it is foldable.
Lots of grey, be careful, and read up and Do Not take any advice you get online as gospel.

I also never wanted one, but since doing a custom build from an 80% it has become a favorite. An AR pistol with a 60 rd drum is kinda cool. And mine is a cheaper one.
