AR buffer assembly/Stock

Will a standard .223 AR-15/M4 collapsable stock like an Ace SOCOM/Buffer Tbe/Spring/Buffer work on a .308 AR-15/M4? Please let me know if you really know, not if you think you know.

Sure it'll work but you're shoulder will hate you. I'm sure that the spring will fail and it'll embed the buffer into your rotator cup.



Short answer, no get the AR-10 buffer/spring/tube.

Where can you find the assebly for that price? Do I need a renforced buffer tube?

what kind of ar10 is it a real one Armalite

or

a clone like DPMS

if Armalite no, you will need one made for a armalite ar10

if dpms yes you can use the m4 type (longer than old type) tube and the stock but will need a special shorter buffer and special spring made for this and the heavier the better like a slash buffer.
