AR 15 Key hole upper????

    I see alot of uppers advertised as key hole uppers. Mine has this marking and I would like to know what it means. Thanks for you help

    It is the forge marking which identifies who made the original maker is. Keyhole is a more common one and is used by many manufacturers in the forging process.

    Actually..the "keyhole" is exclusively used by Cerro Forge..who happens to make high quality upper receivers..for a good number of better AR manufacturers..

    Thanks for the info. My DelTon has a keyhole upper. assuming the keyhole looking mark is what everyone is talking about

    Yup thats what everyone is talking about. My S&W upper has the same marking.

    sounds like they pretty much all have it. Maybe its not so special after all
