Currently, an instant approval is like winning the lottery. It's at least a 3 day wait. Probably longer.

I know, I always hear that

From my own experience. I've had instant approvals every time I've purchased a firearm in the last 10 years. Thru panic buying, Covid, Obama ect. Never had to wait longer then 10-15 mins

But that's just on my own account. Not sure what others go thru

FYI…

I too have had instant approvals pretty much every time I have purchased a firearm (using my CHL).

I am currently still waiting for a background check that began Thursday afternoon. The queue for CHL holders was several hundred long. The queue for non-CHL was in the 6-7k range.

That was last Thursday, who knows what it looks like today.
