I'm thinking about getting an AR10 or similar. What are some suggestions about brands and models??

If you have the money can't really beat a Larue obr. Go to gun on top shot and my two friends love theirs so much they both bought two.

GAP 10, POF, OBR, Noveske, LMT, LWRC, SR25, SIG716. I like the GAP 10 because you can get a 22" barrel, Giesselle SSA trigger, magpul PRS stock, 22" barrel, button barrel, suppressor switch block, etc etc. Why buy a basic AR10 when you immidietly have to strip everything off and install the good stuff. If I had to do it over I would have got the GAP10. I have the POF and too much time and money invested to switch now. I dont know how reliable the GAP is but the POF is very reliable. I have seen OBRs not function in classes.

Also A lot of people love their Kel-Tec RFB or FN Scar17. Those make for a better battle rifle then if you are going for a bench gun.

I would look at a SCAR and how much parts and the mags cost or learn about the FAL line of rifles and how much parts and mags cost . I haven't been really impressed with the AR 10s I have shot . I would rather have an LRB m1a rifle [ No Springfield Armory M1as though, imported low quality parts]
