Anyone with a 608 Taurus?

Thinking about a new hunting sidearm as the Ruger security six I have has seen its days and I would like to keep it in somewhat good shape as it was my dads. Not really looking at small frame guns. Looking at the Taurus 608 8-shot .357. If ya have one how do you like it? Whats a decent price on one new? Any opinions on them out there? If I dont get a Taurus it will be this pre lock S&W 44mag I have my eye on.

I had one for a couple of years. For the money they are great guns, I put sevral hundred rounds thru mine and never had any trouble. Taurus is under rated in my opinion, I have had and still do have sevral of there guns. I sold my 608 last year for $400, which is what I paid for it a couple of years before at Sportsmans. The only down side I found was its wieght, they are heavy. My son called it **** Boys gun, because of its size. I hope this helps, Good Luck.
