Anyone want to try their hand at shooting a traditional or original muzzleloader?
You can shoot one of my flintlocks or percussion guns , ask questions and get a feel for what you like , before spending lots of dough on a gun you may not be sure of.
I just ask that you donate a little money to cover powder and ball , caps , flints etc ...
( your call on just how much...)
I am in Everson Washington.
Please start a private conversation for contact details.

If you weren't so far away, I'd take you up on that offer in a heartbeat!

Hahaha, if he were closer to PDX I think he would have his hands full with people wanting to give it a try!!!

I know I would:D.

Maybe when money and free time find me I'll make a trip up north - be careful what you offer:cool::rolleyes:

Thanks guys!
We will get together one of these days ...
Its really not much different then we we travel about to a rendezvous , set up and have folks ask questions and shoot ...

Exactly. If he was in Oregon his in-box on NWFA would be stuffed full of takers.
Myself, overwhelmingly included. :D

Point Shooter,
I would suggest that you contact a local club , many clubs offer a firearms safety course.
Another option would be to take the Hunters Safety Course.
Even if you do not plan on hunting , the course teaches basic gun handling and safety.

Also your link "shooting" took me to a Retail Canada Wholesale site , it had nothing to do with shooting.
Not sure what happened there , but you might want to look into it.

I want to try my hand on shooting but 1st I will get trained. I don't want to hurt or injure someone. Please suggest me some shooting trainers because I don't know even ABC of gun shooting.

I'll ask a few questions, feel free to respond or not.

1. Where do you live? Outside the US I'm guessing by your greeting and English may be a 2nd language?

2. You've been a member since 2013 when you posted this:

Hi Mates ...
I am new here i like this forum too much i found a set of best and remarkable stuff here i have massive interest in getting information the purpose of joining this forum is to lean more things from this form and share what i know i am confident that my stay here' ll really well. ......

So have you not learned how to shoot in 3 years?

3. Follow up on 2 - what knowledge were you thinking of sharing?

4. Are you trolling or is there a genuine disconnect.

No offense was meant by the above statements, just that more info about you in a new thread would be more appropriate if you really want a referral on where to go to learn to shoot because location is big part of the answer.

Cheers,

Joe

He is definitely NOT primarily an English speaker. IF he is from Canada he might be a Francophone. Even MY English is better-composed than his/hers.

Learning to shoot in Canada is really no different than most other places - 'cept that you HAVE to do the safety/handling course as part of the PAL application. Apparently, ca. half the population of Canada has a gun of some kind, so I obviously have eighteen of them that belong to other people who haven't bothered to pick 'em up.

My pal Mark in PEC has another thirty something. :=)

Anyhow, here's a muzzleloader. 'snot a rock-lock, but still lots of fun, eh? And looking at my notes, I see that I quoted a 45gr load - seems I can't read my own scribble - it was 65gr, the service load for a carbine during your recent inter-state unpleasantness.

We need to get you shopping on the Internet. It might save you some gas and drive time:p.

Cool video though man;).

Shopping on the internet is like watching sex.

It really isn't the same thing as walking into the store and having a bit of jaw-flap time with the crew in there, especially in the USA where you get greeted like the rich old uncle that you've just GOT me make happy. I don't seem to be able to go into a gun-store, particularly Joe and Suzi's place in Springfield and the other down in Gold Beach, without spending at least half an hour telling shooting lies.

Anyhow, the gas and drive-time is a meh for me, since the time we spend over with you guys is nothing less than heaven without dying.

Trust me on this one, guys. I know whereof I spoges. [please insert winking emoticon here, thank you]

I have yet been able to get to The GunWorks in Springfield.
But every year Joe and Suzi come up to the Monroe blackpowder gun show.
They and their staff and always ready to help you out in your black powder needs.
Also they actually listen to what you want and are very honest and fair when dealing with gun trades.
If anyone is in the market for blackpowder or related items I highly recommend going to The GunWorks.
