.... as an actual pistol brace?

Just switched to this brace the other day. I love the look of it, love the design and the build quality. Unfortunately it seems almost impossible to use as an actual arm brace unless I were shooting from the hip or something. I would imagine I'd need a much lighter build to hold it out in front of my face to be able to see through the sights.
