Anyone notice the Everytown banner on the front page of NWFA?

I saw it, I clicked it to see if it really was what I thought it was, and it was. I can not understand why we would have an advertisement for our nemesis on the front page of this website. Did I miss understand what I saw?

I didn't see it, But if they are paying to advertize on NWFA I say fantastic. It just means money out of their pocket going to our cause and their message being ignored. If the ad is here then its once less ad out in the world.

It is a rotating banner, right under the Threat Dynamics banner. If you refresh your browser a couple of times it'll pop up. I like your philosophy about it.

That's Google ad space. You're seeing that ad because Google thinks you like them. Nothing to do with NWFA.

If it's a Google ad my browser won't display it anyway. :)

ETA: Oops, just saw tashworth's post. I just direct all of the google ad servers to 127.0.0.1 in my hosts file.

Obviously not something we endorsed, but I'm with @IronMonster!

That's freaken hilarious. Agreed.... this is probably the best place on the internet for such an ad to be displayed.

I never see any of that. Must have it turned off somewhere ?
Which is good for that one. I prefer to not have to look at it.

So if I click on it, does Google charge Everytown for the advertising?

Darn it, I just enabled the ads and refreshed about a dozen times but their ad wouldn't come up.

    Yes.

Some ads are pay for display, some are pay for click through, some pay more for one than the other.

Perfect let them waste their money here where it won't do any good, with a couple exceptions.
