Adjusting front sight is bring a file to the range..go slow, few passes an shoot 2. Repeat until your on at the range you like.

I'd add; bag rest up the pistol tight, don't exceed 25 yards, do several shots for an average, keep track of the file strokes verses target movement in inches. You cant put the metal back. Unless you can move the rear sight your are stuck with windage always as a fudge factor.
