I am thinking about picking up a FN SCAR 16s and wanted to see if someone whom had one would meet me at the range so I could put a few rounds though it. I am sure we could work some type of rental of weapon for beer or? Thanks Todd

Never did. Gave up on the SCAR. Got a used Bushmaster ACR with a ACOG for the same price as a new SCAR and couldn't be happier.

Wholesale Sports in Portland has one in stock for $2600 less 5% military/veteran discount. They also had a Bushmaster ACR (standard) for $1700. I almost bought the SCAR, but when I was visiting other shops (to think about it) I found a like new LMT CQB MRP w/ an Eotech 516 & Eotech 3X magnifier for almost a thousand dollars less. The SCAR is pretty, but you can buy quite few cool rifles for a lot less coin.
