I'm looking to make really good friends with someone in the copier business in the Portland area. Specifically, I'm looking to find a source that would let me scavenge some odd parts from copiers heading to the recycler. Are you or do you know someone in this business?
I'm interrested in getting into a new hobby. Specifically I want to make a garage-built CNC mill. I have heard that copiers are great parts for some of the components I need. The bigger the copier the better. In addition to copiers large plotters would also be useful sources of parts.
If you can help me out I'd share plans and design sources. Heck, I'd even love to have someone to work with on building us each CNC machines. I've a bit of software/hardware experience so I'm confident I can figure out all the electronics and such.
Thanks,
Brian
