I have a friend in Ca. who is working up a new load for a Contender.......here is his question to me.

"It seems like no one has any in stock, not the local shops nor any online source. How is it up your way? It is the only powder that works for bullets over 130 grains in the herrett case. 3031 and 4891 are not dense enough and 296 is too fast. I understand that the parent company only ships to the US once every two or three years."




I've been reloading for 33 years but have never used Norma powders......anyone got any info? I'm thinking there must a be a suitable Hogdon, WW or Alliant powder that can be use.

Update:
He says..."it gives about 2100 fps vs 1900 for IMR powders for bullets over 130 grains..thats a lot of muzzle geewiz."
