I can shoot an LCP pretty well out to 15 yards off hand, one handed etc and hit a man size target center in a second, so for me, it is my carry at least half the time. I am 215 lbs but something as large as a 1911 or Glock 19 is just too large for my CC. The exception is when I know I will be working at night in a bad area. In that case, I carry larger. Specifically, I work in Rockwood a lot (LOL).
CT laser to help compensate for sights.
Prefer a long trigger when carrying with one in the chamber anyway. 10-round mags are handy for practice at the range.
