We've had this guy for about 3 years now. He weighs ~60 pounds, sleeps in the house [has his own room] and has tons of personality. He's a rock star whenever we go anywhere in public!

Here he is in one of his finer moments.

Friends used to raise animals they would eat but named them after food so the kids wouldn't get attached to them. One beef they named candy and it was really good.

I could never eat a peto_O

Kid: Some of the rabbits are missing.
Mom: They'll show up.
Later that evening....
Mom: Do you want front legs or back legs?
Kid: Chickens don't have front legs.....

My grandmother played the "it's chicken" trick on me. It wasn't until a couple years after, that I found out I had eaten Thumper"

She's about 150-170. She got a hold of our lab when he was 2 and just about tore his rib cage and guts out. It was feeding time and he got between her and her bowl. He'll never do that again...
