I've ID'd 6 of 8 rounds I had problems with (although for 3 of them, not sure if standard, short, or long..). There's only 2 left in there i can't figure out

Ahhhhh these are the ones I'm not sure on designation for case length!! All are rimfires, but do you want me to tell you what the calipers say for caliber? Or guess again?

1-5 = .32 ACP
1-11 = 9x18 Makarov


2-9 = .500 S&W
2-10 = .454 Casull

3-4 = .30-30
3-5 = .35 Whelen

It was guesstimate without calibers.

The calipers put these at (guesses on casing): 1-3 .28 Rimfire, 1-6 .40 Short Rimfire, 1-16 .38 Short Rimfire (I thought long, but see this; headstamp is diamond, #6)

1-36 looks like .22 shot
1-34 looks like 5.56x45 NATO blank
1-32 30-06 blank?
1-31 7.62 NATO paint marker?
1-33 kind of looks like a .28 gauge shotshell
1-11 .380 ACP?

Awesome. 1-5 is .25 ACP, 1-40 is a .22 crimped blank, 1-34 is a 5.56x45 NATO blank, 1-32 is a .30-06 blank, 1-31 is a .308 blank (7.62 NATO, same thing right? ), and yes, 1-11 is a .380 ACP aka 9mm Browning Court.

Nope, you are not completely correct. It is a bunch of CARTRIDGES (which is the full part of case, powder, primer, and bullet). The bullet is only part of the equation.

We got a lotta boolits, don't need no stinking cartridges

OK I'll try some of the rifle shells - is 3-35 a .375H&H mag, 3-34 .338 Win Mag, and 3-33 a .300 Ultra mag?

1-20 is a centerfire cartridge.

Nailed them all! 1-9 is a .32 Smith & Wesson, 1-12 is a .22 Long Rifle, 1-15 is a .40 Smith & Wesson, 1-18 is a .22 Magnum (odd thing about this round is that the box lists it as .22 Mag, not .22 WMR, and you'll notice another .22 WMR elsewhere, which has a slightly longer case... but as far as I'm concerned, Magnum = WMR, just haven't removed it yet), 1-22 is a .45 Automatic Colt Pistol, 1-23 is a .32 Smith & Wesson Long (Nice!), 2-16 is a .41 Remington Magnum, and last but not least (excellent job on this one BTW), 3-21 is a 8x56mmR Mannlicher-Schönauer

AHHH! So so close on 3-33!!!
3-35 is indeed a .375 Holland & Holland Magnum
For 3-34, think of the magazine Shooting Times...

Aw man, what a good run! Only one you nailed this time was 2-19, its a .44 S&W Special. Your estimates on the other calibers are pretty d*mn close tho, like really, just size up or down 1 caliber...

I'll throw this out there- there's 3 wildcards in there right now.
2 are unidentified (I'm completely lost here for the ID, but will give measurements & headstamps when they get called out), and there are two of a kind with 'different' headstamps (not the .22 Magnum vs. WMR mentioned earlier, or the .30-30 Win vs. .30 WCF). A clue is that one of the doubles has been ID'd already, hence why thats 1 wildcard...

3-9 = .243 Winchester
3-26 = 6.5 Mannlicher Schoenaeur
3-31 = .264 Winchester Magnum
3-32 = .30-06 (can't remember if green tip is frangible or incind.)
