FYI @raftman reported poor construction with this firearm. So that's something to be aware of if considering one. Many thanks to raftman for pointing that out! It's apparently made by derya in Turkey.

For those who didn't see the other thread being referenced, here's a look at the inside of the frame of my brand new Melik, just arrived yesterday. Threw in a side view, too. The pistol was full of aluminum shavings, even managed to catch a splinter.

I ended up sending that one back to RIA, they apparently thought it was beyond repair and sent a replacement. While still not perfect, definitely better:






Edit: should add the grips are not original, just a spare set of Hogue grips I had. They just look better than the factory grips IMO. So grips definitely interchange with 92FS's.

Raftman isn't alone. I found this video awhile ago seems to reflect the same issue.

I'd for sure inspect it fully before purchase if a place will let you.

Just buy the real McCoy and have less problems. But check the slide for machine chatter marks. Seems they get past QC once in a while

Yeah I've got a couple of original ones currently, and have had a couple of others in the past… you just don't see the same kinds of issues with actual Berettas.

From what I understand there is some parts interchangeability with original Berettas, some parts drop right in, others need fitting. I haven't messed around with mine to see what interchanges but there's a guy on YouTube who did a very detailed series of videos on dealing with exactly the question of what interchanges and what doesn't.
