Anybody else notice the ammendment to this bill at the end of it. It appears to call for background checks at "gun shows." All other outside sales the background check is "voluntary." Did I read this right?

BGC have been required at Gun shows in Oregon for many years. So you most likely read it wrong.

I did see a page the state is requiring 8 full time state troopers to go after illegal sales. With a $6000 fine its good money incentive for the troopers..

That sounds like minority report #1 to replace SB941 that was voted down on Monday.

That section is in brackets and italicized denoting that portion is no longer operative or has been superseded by subsequent legislation.

They already do. If you get denied, the state troopers will show up at your address. Thank old gov, Kitsduscher for that. old law, already old news, yet many don't know
