Any tips for hunting coyotes or cougar in the Blue Mountians this time of year?

As for cougars, I'd look for a somewhat popular jogging trail where you regularly see yuppies in their mid 30's or 40's... seems they're becoming some of their favorite prey.
 
As for Coyotes this time of the year has always been regarded as the 'off season' by most 'yote hunters as the pups are with the mother right now and are unable to take care of themselves.
