Got a very old Smith and Wesson Model No 1 First issue Tip Up first type in really good shape (only 200 made)and can't seem to get logged on to the Smith Collectors site. Would anyone have any phone numbers or e-mail addresses of people who might be interested in this high dollar item?

This should be a .22short. Go here: http://smith-wessonforum.com/forum.php and list your gun with pictures in the antique section. It should cause quite a stir there. The SWCA (smith and wesson collectors assoc.) guys then should come out.

Even fair condition for this is around $8000 if it is the 1st issue 1st type. 1st issue 2nd - 6th types value drops off quickly. Your out of my area on these but this is a very rare pistol.

Turned out to be a really good copy with ivory grips and engraving.
