I am curious if there would be any interest in a wireless ISP in the PDX and Salem areas. Specifically an ISP that does not care to know any of your personal information and does not even keep traffic logs. These days the feds have sniffers on ALL peering points and are cataloging all internet activity. Don't believe me? Check out the following links and consider this was going down back in 2003. The Narus boxes make the FBIs Carnivore systems look like pocket calculators.

Just thinking out loud at this point but if there is interest something could be gotten running relativly quick. Payment could be made with cash and wireless subscriber unit could be picked up in person or shipped, and self installed so basically untraceable...

These days, merely visiting sites like NorthwestFirearms or other Liberty minded sites can single you out for further investigation..

It seems like it would also be a nice feature to rebroadcast over the wireless connection all of the free local HD TV stations. The tower in PDX would have line of sight to the TV Towers and then could packetize the media streams and send them down to areas with crummier reception. I haven't tried an HDTV in Salem but I can't imagine they can get very many of the PDX stations.

Again, just thinking out loud here but it seems to me anonymous internet access and free HD TV would be something people would want..

Maybe not, let me know what you think.
