Both Tri-County (first Sunday) and ARPC (4th Sunday) have Steel Challenge matches. You can shoot them with a
rimfire pistol or rifle. If you are up for a road trip, there is a Ruger Rimfire Challenge match in Parma Idaho on
September 29th.

We have a Steel Match 2nd Saturday of every month in Eugene. .22 rifle and pistols are almost dominent anymore..lol. You can shoot both in the same match if you'd like, it just costs a little extra.

Eugene Practical Shooters is the site. We get there at around 8:30 to sign up. The site will give you the directions/location and it's $10 per gun-one of the least expensive matches in Oregon. If you shoot handguns, you can shoot autos or revolvers. It's best to bring 5 mags if you can, if not, bring what you have. The most popular handguns are the Browning Buckmark(not the target model) and the Ruger Mark III. Just bring what you have though. It will have to be cased or in your holster throughout the match. The rifles must be magazine fed like the S&W 15/22. No front loading tube fed rifles like the older Marlins. Rifles must also be cased until instructed to "make ready". You can shoot a rifle and a pistol and be scored separately for each. Optics on either are allowed as well. There are 5 stages in Eugene and 6 stages everywhere else. That is because there's only 5 bays there. CCI is the most dependable 22 ammo but whatever works for your guns is great. We normally shoot 5 strings of 5 shots in each stage. So 125 rounds is the minimum if plan on never missing a shot..lol. Bring 200 to be safe, trust me on this one. Hope to see you there. Roger
