I have inherited a 1863 Sharps Carbine converted to the 50/70 gov in 1866.
I'm looking for someone who can help me keep her in shape, and maybe see if she's shootable.
I took her to one guy in NJ but he didn't know much about sharps.
I'm debating what cleaning is prober. She hasn't been touched in at least 40y but probably more like 70y Dad got it from an Uncle who got it from???
I'm in Oregon on the coast. But I won't have the gun here until March.
I know I'm missing a couple tang screws but I can order original from a place called s&s.
I'm not looking to sell her, but maybe give her some love.
Who here is my guy?

Thanks,
One Tough

I did get a couple shot guns too. I'm more interested in getting the sharps in shape. But I'll want these looked at too. Both are missing a hammer. One is marked. MANTON. Barrels are rusty. When I get the carbine looked at I'll probably bring these too.

but I'm most interested in that Sharps. I think we can get it shooting.
