Three of us got tags for the Steens and we got the third buck yesterday. I killed mine out in the sagebrush and the other two were on alfalfa. This was my first and likely my last hunt, although I'll keep applying. I'm the old guy in the first picture. The last picture is a dandy buck, notice the ivory tips on his horns. We all left the capes with Sewell Taxidery in Burns. I have used him before and like his work.

Just had some grilled antelope steaks from last year's buck tonight! Fresh corn on the cob, mashed taters and some sautee'd mushrooms!

Congratulations on the successful hunt. The last time I was out that way I filled a Whitehorse tag.
How many points did it take to draw Steens?

So... you have those hanging to age for processing in the garage or... a particular outbuilding?

Do you own a dog?

(asking for a friend...)
