finished another one, this one is a Western Field model 45, made by Savage

I have that same rifle laying around here somewhere. It was given to me years ago. And I never could find a magazine for it.

Maybe it's time to take another look.
Anyways. now I know what the magazine looks like. Thanks.

How'd you go about blueing?

Just finished my 47a. Barrel and action didn't need blued so i left it as patina.
Mossberg microclick and all. Sanded stock and rubbed a few coats of teak oil.
I'll snag a pic later.

It is the same as the Savage model 4 and variants, I think the new Savage mags also fit, they come in 5 and 10 round, I bought the 10 round. The 5 rounders fit almost flush

I would like to find a peep sight for it as it is already set up for one. As for the bluing I use the Hot Salts method (Sodium Hydroxoide & Sodium Nitrate)
