    No the Russians didn't give up on 7.62x39. Still used heavily by their military and police forces, especially in urban settings. It serves a useful role as an intermediate cartridge between 5.45x39 and full-power 7.62x54r.

    That aside, would you still stand 700m downrange of an AK?

    Amazing how in some places on earth AK's are more plentiful than jumper cables.

    Seems there's got to be some wire in those vehicles that would work better/easier for jump starting.

    Raise your hand if you've used speaker wire to jump start a car before.

    What have I not seen an Iraqi use his AK for...broom handle? check; Shovel? Check; Pry bar? Check; cooking utensil? Check....and the list goes on
