"About 5:45 a.m., a masked man about 40 years old walked into a 7-Eleven store near South 110th Street and Eighth Avenue South and swung a hatchet at a customer, said King County Sheriff’s Sgt. Cindi West. The man then went behind the counter and attacked the 58-year-old clerk, never saying anything.

Within seconds, a customer pulled out a handgun and shot and killed the attacker, likely saving the clerk’s life, West said. He was pronounced dead at the scene."

    Whack jobs.
Good on the concealed customer that was there having coffee.
Prime example of any place, any time.

Way to go! No waste of a trial! This is probably more "work place violence!"

So far, all of the stories have praised the shooting. I'm a little surprised given the location.

I love this part: "An investigation is continuing."
What's to investigate? Nut job swings hatchet at people then gets shot, end of story.

Would have been a different story if it happened at a Starbucks.

A good guy with a gun despite King county doing everything possible to prevent this outcome. I mean can't a deranged man kill a clerk with a hatchet without being in fear of their life:confused:?

I can see that thread now....."Best EDC caliber for hatchen wielding psycho" 9mm with shot placement! 45 for a one shot stop! 40 for extra penetration through winter clothing! You are all idiots, 357!

That's 2 pumps greater than book maximum. Are you using high velocity BBs or high BC pellets?

Taking out the trash in Burien...

Considering there'd be video, no need for an investigation... Give the shooter the key to the city, have a public ceremony on the steps of city hall and let all the criminals know that they are not any longer safe plying their trade...

Watch out for us old guys, lots of trigger time and darn good morals and values to boot...

    Note to OP:
In Washington, it's a C-P-L (for concealed pistol license)
