Without even looking at the article I could surmise this to be a "fatherless home and thug culture" problem.

In these times the gas lighting and absolute denial of failed policy and poor leadership reminds me of Dwight Yoakams character (Warden Burns) in "Logan Lucky" where the warden is in absolute denial that he lost control of his prison.
Claiming he doesnt have riots at Monroe, claiming they dont have fires at Monroe, claiming they don't have escapes at Monroe.
DC deserves to burn at the hands of its own over tolerant policies, its the only way they'll learn and the folks living there will actually give a damn and vote the swamp creatures out.

Not a firefighter's car, but a car belonging to a guy who owned a construction business hereabouts.

A pal spotted the car being driven off, followed by the driver of the car that had the thief to the scene of the theft. Incredibly, it was just four streets away, belonging to a well-known petty criminal. Mike [not his name] rustled up some of his equipment later that evening, found the car outside the house, removed it and placed it neatly in the nearby river. The word got around that the next visit would be with a wrecking ball if he didn't get his car back, nice and shiny with a full tank of gas.

It was outside his house by the late afternoon of the next day.

That's pretty much right. The goal is to 're-imagine' a 21st century liberal America. You can't do that when people are happy, safe, productive and content.

They WANT people upset, disoriented and frightened.

Notice how the crime is described as a car being "stolen". Has the words "Robbery at Gun Point" or "Gun Point Robbery" gone out of fashion?
