...of why I have less than 100% enthusiasm for the death penalty: AFAIK, Oklahoma owes those guys 14 years-worth of something, but what that would be would take more energy than I'm willing to devote to it. Why? Because both of these guys were/are gang members. Who knows what they'd done before they went in the slammer? But they didn't do what they were sent to death row for, so IMO the prosecutor should spend at least 14 years there instead, and maybe harassed by random periodic trips to the death chamber (after a meal of his favorites) accompanied by nervous, somber corrections officers. Why, you ask? Because the person or person that actually did the deed has/have been loose all this time as far as anyone knows. I'm no bleeding heart but sloppy, arbitrary application of the law irritates me.
