all of those are on transform faults (side to side motion) and not subduction. Transform quakes do not generate tsunamis.

If a subduction quake hit, we would all know, likely before we checked NWFA.

A 4.6 about 145 miles West of Bandon Oregon. 21 October, 2019. About 7-8 miles deep.

PRECURSOR ??? I hope not. How many minutes, (perhaps seconds) would the Oregon coast have before the draw back? Then how long until the surf is really up? Dunno fur sures.

That is all.

Two, (2) more. The first a 5.3 about 123 W of Brookings OR at 10 km deep. Another either before or after at 3.2 about in the same place. Both on 28 October, 2019. Nothing felt in Cave Junction OR.

That is all.

A massive earthquake on B.C.'s South Coast could disrupt the flow of drinking water in and around Vancouver for several months, while bottled water and meal rations would likely be very difficult to deliver because of damage to the region's dozen bridges, says an internal case study for Canada's agriculture ministry.

The federal government wouldn't be able to help much: Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), the agency in charge of the response, would only be able to "facilitate" businesses and charities delivering such life-saving necessities, according to a March, 2018, case study and other internal documents obtained through freedom-of-information laws by Ottawa researcher Ken Rubin and passed on to The Globe and Mail.

Once again, proof that you need to get yourself prepped for disasters. Counting on the government may leave you cold, thirsty and starving.

TWO 6.0 quakes almost exactly one hour apart. About 164 km West of Port Hardy at the North end. About 10 km deep on 23 December 2019. I have not posted several smaller ones for awhile ... been away. :) Nothing felt here in SW Oregon.

That is all

Merry Christmas
