nah, just wanted to make sure people could read it!! my penmanship is terrible since i write so much at work. it gets worse every year LOL. i had to TRY to make it legible.

You should worry more about proper spelling, that way you can just tell people you're a doctor which will explain crappy penmanship...

This rifle:



Was built by Lynn McWilliams and Gale McMillan.

It has a tensioned barrel and came to me tuned for Federal 168 grain Gold Medal Match.

I tried it with various brands of 'match' ammo, including Federal GM.

Everything except Federal GM shot 1-2 MOA.

Federal GM shot 0.5 MOA

I guess the builders were telling the truth?

My buddy had a factory loaded barnes 22-250 load wreck the savage he was shooting. Thats when i told him, "thats why i load my own"!!!!

If you have ever followed double rifles, you know they literally build the rifle to the ammo.
With correct ammo, they work to perfection.
With the wrong ammo, they incapable of hitting a large target at close range.

Ugly is as ugly does. I doubt a High Point anything will do 0.5 MOA or better with factory ammo.

A couple of quick points to add when looking at accuracy problems.

One of the first things to also check is cleanliness, especially inside the barrel; a fouled barrel degrades performance quickly. Scrub it out.

Also, check and make sure the optic/sight is tight. And stay away from cheap scopes...
