Gun shows are held at the same venues as home and garden shows, concerts, fairs, and sporting events. It's not about guns or alcohol, it's an issue of the venue selling space and making a profit.

There is some sort of attitude that, if there are guns around, people will act like idiots because, well, people are idiots. Because of that reasoning, some feel that guns and owners must be controlled. Here in Oregon, open carry in a bar is legal, as is concealed carry. Guess what, we don't have a problem with widespread violence in bars by people carrying guns.

Maybe I'm just different, but I don't think that I'd be sitting at a gun show and having a beer. My personal rule is that I don't do things that could be unsafe after having a brew. That includes running the lawn mower, the hedge trimmers, the boat or the car. It's really a non issue.

Call me crazy but this isn't news. Back in NV the big gun show was held in a casino. Yes they sold alcohol in the show. It was the best gun show we had. There was never an issue having alcohol and guns in the same room.

Well technically speaking Freddy's has guns, ammo, beer, and tobacco. All your needs under one roof. Except for whiskey. They need to fix that.
