I just recently acquired a nice M-1 Garand with lots of clips - but no ammo. Where is a good supply of ammo that my M-1 will handle without any problems.
I keep hearing that it is not a good idea to shoot commercial ammo in a Garand !
Check the CMP website. They're supposed to be getting more Greek surplus in sometime around the first of the year. The Garand Collectors website is also a good source. Google "surplus M2 Ball" and see what pops up.
The M1 is intolerant of gas pressure above where it likes it, although some shoot commercial stuff anyway. Stick to 150gr stuff and no "light magnums", if you can't find any milsurp to shoot.
