American Arms Escort .380 Anyone have one?

Hey guys I am trying to find out if someone has an American Arms Escort .380. I have one here but the trigger bar is broken and I am trying to repair it. I am having a **** of a time finding any info online and even less luck finding parts. If someone knows where to get parts, schematics, etc. that would be awesome. Even better would be if someone has one and could take some pictures for me. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I bought one new decades ago and found it to be utterly superb in form and function. At the time I even bought spare grips and screws from the distributor. Alas, hard times forced me to sell it and all of the paperwork, so I don't even remember who that vendor was. It was made in Italy and imported by American Arms, who have changed owners several times over the years. I would Google "American Arms Escort" and you are bound to find many messageboard posts from around the internet over the years with requests for info like yours.................................elsullo

Thanks for the reply. I have searched Google and unfortunately come up empty. I found exactly two references to this gun. One was the original sales ad as displayed on a violent crimes website and the other was someone asking for help identifying it. It was made in Italy as the Sites Resolver and American Arms brought it to the US and named it the escort. This is a very neat pistol and I would love to get it working again. It seems like a very simple fix but not knowing what the original trigger bar looked like it is proving quite frustrating.

Ooops. I should have assumed that you had already tried Google. I do remember that American Rifleman had quite a nice article on this gun, maybe in 1990? There was no schematic drawing, but there was reference to the manufacturer. I was always surprised that this gun never took off, since it was not expensive, and American Rifleman reviewed it so positively. I wish I still had mine.......................elsullo

I looked on a couple of old gun resource links that I had: arjunkie.com seems to be in limbo, but a link called "Handguns" still works, and it's a great site with tons of diagrams for major but mostly European brands, www.mek_schuetzen.de/Sites/navi_links_handguns.htm

There is a link to an American Arms .380 which is probably the right pistol, though the diagram makes it hard to tell (reducing the size makes it more clear)---I will try to attach it here, www.mek-schuetzen.de/Blueprints/American_Arms_EP380_Auto.png

I would write in to American Rifleman to their columns either "readers write" or "Questions and Answers" to get them to research where to get parts for the pistol. They love to help members! Good luck............................elsullo

Well if it is an EP380 then the link I posted, #5, has the trigger bar for $11.25. I have bought a couple of parts for my 1930's J.C. Higgins .22 from them.

Thanks for all the help guys but the EP380 is different. I found a schematic for the Escort 380 finally and it showed a crappy pic of the trigger bar. I then found another sight where someone still had one and was kind enough to take some pics of the parts in place for me. Now it's a matter of making a new trigger bar since I cannot find where to buy the parts.
