Alternative to 2230 in a dillon

Iv only ever used 2230 for .223 reloading I'm tired of the mess it makes in a Dillon 650. A good alternative powder suggestion would be appreciated, I did google it but no luck.

I would think all "ball" type powders would act similarly in that set up?

Is the shell plate acting herky jerky, spilling the powder out of the cases, or do you have something else going on?

Its the detent spring being strong and the small ball powder, seems to be a normal problem. I was thinking a flake style powder would help but with the current market I dont want to experiment and dont have enough experience to know what my best bet it.

I think someone had mentioned a kit to help smooth that out awhile back....

Might help with the problem you're having.

I make the Roller Cam Followers and Shell Plate Bearings myself, and I worked with many of my Fellow Dillon Owners to assure that this is very best I can do. Here is my Premium Perfomance kit for the 650 and 750 presses.

He's also got a bearing indexer similar to how the new XL750 works that helps smooth things out too.

Thanks, I found his kits on ebay yesterday, going to have to order up the premo kit and see if that solves my problems(or compensate for a lack of finesse) if I can break away from the kiddos for more that 20 mins.
