I wouldn't punish the dealer because of the states error.
Oh, no, of course not -- had I purchased from one of my favorite and friendly LGSs -- this purchase was from the big-box retailer, so I wouldn't suffer any remorse.

Not a conspiracy theorist, but it's so coincidental this happens the day the governor activates the National Guard and bulletins go out anticipating post-election "social unrest." Yeah, just a coincidence...

If they can't access the SAFE system, they need to go back to the FBI NICS until its resolved. Extending wait time past 10 days is just asking for costly lawsuits.

Yep this certainly doesn't pass the smell test. Very convenient.

What about the 3 day rule?
bubblegum... WA bent us over on that rule a while back... All this BS needs to finally make it to Supreme Court. Hopefully now that we control all branches of the government, maybe we can erase some of this draconian BS and recreate freedoms our forefathers intended!

Maybe this will be good. I have said for a good while now WA is the way it is due to lack of pain. Let the morons keep doing stuff like this and "maybe" more will learn to vote better.
The problem is most of the liberals that voted for gun control wont feel any pain about not being able to buy guns since they mostly don't buy them.

It should be illegal and come with charges of treason to shut down the BGC system. Anyone involved in doing so should have to serve harsh jail time.

But we all know this wasn't a hack. This is a test to throttle sales. They'll claim they need to update software, update this or that.. but a total shut down over several weeks? This should be highly illegal.

Ironic that a gubmint department with the acronym "AOC" would be dysfunctional.😒

Due to the many roadblocks thrown up by the pinkos in Oly, I've basically quit buying any new firearms. This is just another barrier to our 2A rights.
Thanx for the info from Sporting Systems.

For clarity sakes, there are far better methods to screw up background checks, but this is effective. This has ALL state court records, scheduling, filings, pleadings, briefs, calendars, evidence reports, and all other data related to every criminal and civil complaint, current and past cases are affected. The state judicial system is completely hammered right now.

Resist!

Stopped in at the shop where I bought my Winchester 1300 on 31 Oct 2024...was supposed to be able to pick it on the 16th....
Well...now with this..that may or may not happen....sigh.

Ain't the shop owner's fault.
Just wait this out and see what happens.
Damn.
Andy

Andy, call the shop and ask if your approval came through.

Bruce
Stopped in the shop today...just to say Hi...found out about the hack from the owner....
My approval , at least at the Fed level was done right away with the BGC on the 31st of October.
The owner ...just needs clearance from our wonderful state overlords to release the shotgun.

Stopping by or calling...ain't a problem....
Having to wait in order to enjoy a Right...or have that so called instant BGC get mucked over...is a problem.
Andy

Ironically, our attorney is unable to file a lawsuit because the state court system is electronic. Unable to file a lawsuit to get our rights restored.
All courts have exceptions to the e-file requirements. PM me if you need cites to the rules. This is also a case that could be federally-filed, where this outage is not a problem.

Pierce county has some operation. Other court clerks can manually accept filings, and stamp them, but zero access to do anything else, calendars, scheduling, judge assignments and just about everything else. Federal Courts in WA state have zero compunction to assist on firearms laws, a path well trodden with a pile of citations. Our legal team discussed at length, but much of this will come around to...what has actually happened. Hacked and accessed, ransomware, etc. The state has reported the system has been infiltrated, which seems to imply...it's ongoing.

As noted. above...
I bought a shotgun on 31 Oct. 2024...was told that I could pick it up on the 16th of November...
Now wondering if the clock starts over again , from when the system is up and running...
As in will I have to wait another so called 10 days ...
On top of however many days have actually passed to pick up my shotgun.
Andy

Don't know if already asked, I find myself wondering if they can release after 10 days without a proceed anyway because it satisfies the Washington waiting period and the federal 3 day no response thing.
