I was fortunate enough to see both Roy Clark and Buck Owen play several times. Back in the 70's and early 80's they would play at the Sweet Home Sportsmen's weekend long before it turned I to the Oregon Jamboree, anyway, it was always THE highlight of the show to see Roy play, and he always invited Buck out on stage to do a few numbers together! We were big time fans of the Hee Haw show already, so it was really cool to see those two come play!
One other notable performance we always looked forward to was Three Dog Night, they played a few years and then faded away, their show was always awesome, and boy howdy, for a young feller who had discovered the female of the species, those live shows were a dream come true!
