cant join the military after 29 unless you have had prior service experience in a field where they need more people.
also to note, if there were to be a draft tomorrow, they wouldnt even take people older than 29.
Lots of 30-45 somethings coming into the army. Many have no prior service. The problem is, the older guys and girls are more stand up, less legal problems, and far easier to get in without waivers.
My source: All the new friggin private-specialist types coming in that were older than me, before I retired. They may have dropped the age back down again to 35 or 40. Draft age I think would be lower than 29, that is if they ever re-institute it, 29 year olds are too hard to "scrub" Too much life experience for a conscript.
