Not a MKII as far as I can tell...The mod is a simple single wire cut through a factory provided door under that battery. It would be easily reversable if need be so its not like a big crazy mod from a tech or anything like that. They made this radio to easily have this mod done. I am not even a newbie but this was going to be my first portable. I don't have the time. It is litterally like new as far as condition.
